update disconects

sup people, I just got ff11, but when its updating it always disconects =
kinda of a pain, anyone can tell me somethin bout this?

Make sure your network is connected properly, if it is ps2 it takes a while, if it's pc try not to run any programs while it downloads the info.

You buy FFXI at the wrong time, today was the patch update. Try again in a bit ^^.
IF not, open all the ports designated on their website on your router to avoid frequent disconnection.
