i hit her up quite often, mostly looking for pumpkins (i'm too lazy to go find regional or its usualy beast).
i knoew her inventory changes.

but i've never seeen these

The sales from that Mithra are very sporadic, and they were extended within the last few months. There doesn't seem to be much rhyme or reason to how they change; it may be partially based on the moon phase, but different characters can get different items offered in sale at the exact same time, so there are other variables as well.

It seems to be a way to suck gil out of the economy, but not allow specific items to be available all the time.

Yesterday while browsing the AH in Ru'Lude Gardens, I heard this NPC announce "My new shipment just came in! Come talk to me and see what new items I have for sale!" This was in /say, much like an NPC bard when you change your title. If no other merchant NPCs do this then there is indeed something special about this little Mithra.
