Porcelain pot + Tree cuttings = 8 gold nuggets or 1-3 tree saplings.

Porcelain is wind, tree cuttings are ice. I'm confused, can someone please tell me when I should plant, and when I should harvest for best reults at getting the gold nuggets? I plan on making 10 mules doing nothing but growing these, and I wanna make sure I don't waste millions of gil doing it just to get tree saplings.

I wouldn't call it 'wasting millions of gil' -- Even if you BOUGHT the cuttings, that's still 100k profit on every stack of saplings to cuttings, even if you only got ONE cutting from each, likely you'll get more, I used to do that to make money a while back with 5 mules for an extra mil every 3 weeks before i got my RDM high enough to farm decently. >.> However, I will state I use 10 porcelain pots, and have NEVER gotten gold nuggets when not adding a crystal on a tree cutting. Hope that helps!

I found that these work better:

brass pot-dark+dark+tree cuttings= beastcoins and saplings
brass pot+dark+dark+catus stems= gold ores and rock salt

Yea I just harvested 30 pots so far (didnt make the other mules til about a few weeks later), and not a single got damn gold nugget. So now I'm just gonna plant the saplings and grow elemental ores. Anyone know the best recipe to get elemental ores with porcelain pots?

I do sappling to Fire ore and I usually run 40 - 50 pots a cycle.

I plant on Light, feed on fire, then feed on fire (or sometimes light for the second one), then harvest on dark.

With that, I usually average 1.5 to 2.5 fire ore per run of 10. I put the :sometimes feed the second crystal on light" because the last time I did that, I was doing a run of 10 and got 4 ore off of it. It could be a fluke, but I want to try again to be sure.

Incidentily, I check the plants once every other day, not everyday.

Just expect tons of Cinamon when you harvest though.
