desynth question

Typically a desynth recipe is the same lvl as the synth recipe. So, knowing this, I'm 51+1 goldsmithing, and I'm trying to desynth Chakrams (lvl 59 GS synth). I'm using advanced support, and have succeeded desynth 5 or 6 times, and even HQ'd a few, but out of about 25 desynths, I've gotten 0 skillups. Am I missing something, or am I just that unlucky?

Desynths won't give you much skills, you can be really really lucky if you get a 0.1 out of 30 desynths which are over your cap. So Desynthing is mainly to get some of your ingredients back but no way good to get skill ups.

Desynth skill ups is rarer than regular skill ups for example I gained 3 levels (10 to 13) on desynthing leather belts. however, I used about 20 stacks of lightning crystals to do so The moral of this story is, skill ups are a bonus for desynthing, not a guarented thing, as with most other synths
