Smithing Requirement on Oak Shield

I'm not entirely sure on its level, but with 14 in Smithing I received 0 skill ups (with no support from the guild) when I made six of these. No breaks either on Windsday (the day earth crystals are weak to) and on a 45% moon. So, I think it's safe to say its requirement is lower than 14.
Six is a small number to derive results from, but the way crafting works, I think I would've gotten a break or at the very least a skill up if I was below the requirement.^^
It's a Woodworking GP item, so I figured I'd help my fellow woodworkers out.

Generally, you can guesstimate the skill level required by checking the comparable skill in that guild. E.g., with Smithing, most of the skill levels can be broken down by the metal you're working with (brass, bronze, iron, darksteel, etc.), so you can usually come close to the right skill level required by noting what level the ingot or sheet making for that particular type of metal would be.
I dunno if that made any sense at all, but it's always worked out for me. :)

Yeah, I understood, but with the randomness of subcraft requirements, it's difficult to say whether you're guessing correctly or not. ><; After all, bolt heads, which require bronze ingots, have a Smithing requirement 12 (!!) levels over the ingot cap. If I didn't already know its cap, I definitely would've guessed incorrectly. =P

usually the craft is a few levels lower.
I think the exception on bolt heads is because the craft level to make bronze bolt heads is smithing 14.
