Quote from: TsukiakariUsagi The Quest: "Bait And Switch" (Repeatable Each Conquest Update) The Item: "Key Ring Belt" The Walkthrough: 1. Talk to Salim in the Metalworks. 2. He will send you to the Altar of Altana. 3. Click on the ??? to start the CS. 4. An item list will show up, select the "Lucky Charm." 5. Talk to the following NPCs to gather information on which switches to press: Folzen tells you that there are 8 switches. Helmut tells you two of the switches to hit. Darha tells you the first switch to hit. Hungry Wolf and Striking Snake tell you something about the other switches that help you to figure out the correct combination. 6. When you get your order, start to find the switches in the Metalworks, the small one is in the Concrete Refinery, the medium one is near the Entrance and the large one is between the Smithing Guild rooms. 7. When you see one of the following guards (and what they say) do the following: Militant Gale: "Think a thief will really come here? Salim's more of a worrywart than I thought. I'd like to hurry up and catch someone, though, so I can go out and enjoy a drink or two... or three..." - If you get this guard, use Miledo-Shiraddo and he will transform into a guard and give the one you were facing a break. Gentle Tiger: "The thieves are sure to come here. Planning to take Salim's treasure... Hmph, what a low thing to do. Just wait until I lay my hands on them." - If you get this guard, use Luto Mewrilah and she will get him to chase her out of the room. If Pensive Beast shows up, use the Lucky Charm. He'll say something about the next location, for instance "Hmmm, the Cermet Refinery hasn't been very well guarded as of late. I think I'll go there instead." The location that he mentions IS NOT necessairly the correct location! Keep this in mind. Make sure you have already talked to all four of the NPCs to figure out which switches are which and do not listen to this guard, he is only trying to get you caught! Notes: If you mess up and select the wrong switch by accident, and then go to the correct switch, and the lead guardsman shows up, you won't be able to do anything except get caught. In which case, go upstairs and talk to Ferghus and he will tell you that someone got caught, and then you go downstairs and talk to Folzen and he will give you the key, and then the one who didn't get caught will go get the one who did (for instance, if Miledo-Shiraddo got caught, Luto Mewrilah will go get him, and vice versa). In this case, you should start over, because if you try and pick up the quest where you left off, you will only get caught again, and if you get caught three times, the quest is over.
