Tenzen Path on 5-3

Hello all!

I have been on CoP 5-3 for a while now.

The other day I was finally able to finish the Louverance Path (Moblin BCNM). It took me a while, because I could never find enough people who had access to that BCMN.

I guess I'm worried now that the same will apply with the Tenzen path. I need to go to the 50 cap area in PsoXja.
Once there, I need to go through all those doors wich can spawn gargoyles.
My question is... Can anyone go through those doors? Or do you have to be on CoP 5-3?
If anyone can go through the doors (to get to the CutScene), I know a few in my LS that would probably help me.

And also, how many people would you recommend on going to PsoXja to fight those Gargoyles? Are they difficult to kill?

Thanks so much for your help!

The doors actually open for you to walk through (rather than starting a cutscene), so you should be able to bring any linkshell friends who have CoP installed. A standard party is more than sufficient to get through that area without much trouble. Just make sure you bring an RDM or BRD, otherwise you're going to be waiting for MP a lot.

Usually the doors will spawn the gargoyle traps but sometimes they won't. If a gargoyle spawns, then you have to kill it before the door opens. The person in your party in charge of checking the door should make sure everyone is ready to move to the next room or ready to fight before checking the door. Also, sometimes the adjacent rooms have mobs that aggro magic or sight, so it's a good idea to stand at the door and cast something before you check it to spawn the gargoyle.

As mentioned, a regular party is fine for dealing with these, as long as you have a MP refresher.

One thing to note on these doors: they can be disabled by a Thief, which keeps the Gargoyle from popping at all. If you have a Thief (and don't mind spending money on items to save time), using Skeleton Keys to disable these can result in the vast majority of the doors being successfully disabled.

You'll still have to fight the occasional mob inside the rooms, but it goes much faster than if you don't disable the doors.

I actually did this mission 1-2 weeks ago. I remember we had to wait on someone to go do 1 CS because he couldn't enter. I think they need to be on PM5-3 or they can't enter this tower. The guy said it kept saying "It's Locked."

Just wondering... Can the Thief only use Skeleton Keys, or can he use other tools (Thief's Tools or Living Keys)?

Well, I did this a few weeks ago, i came with 4 thief tools and 12 skeleton keys. On the skeleton Keys, I opened like 5/12, and with the thief tools i opened 3/4 I think, so I don't think you need to go waste money on Skeleton Keys for this. (I saved the thief tools for the end because the alliance pitched in gil evenly for the skeleton keys, so I used them first)

Thanks a lot for the information ^_^ If I do this mission as Thief, I guess I'm just gonna go with Thief's Tools.
