Post here with info about any additions and changes to the NPC Fellows in the December 12 patch, as well as any new quests that relate to them.

A new quest following Blighted Gloom was introduced. Luto gives it; after the initial cutscene, there's another at a door in Neptune's Spire in Lower Jeuno. Basically you find out you need to get "some glimmering mica," "a lunascent log," and "some mistroot." You're also told you'll need a pickaxe, a sickle, and a hatchet to get these items. Will post again if I find out more.

Just found the mistroot. You have to call your NPC in Giddeus, and harvest at H-10. If you try to harvest without your NPC out, you'll get a message saying you need 2 people to harvest there. I'm gonna guess that the other items are in Ghelsba Outpost and Palborough Mines; will confirm once I try.

This is what I have done so far for this new quest:

1)Go to Luto for a CS
2)Go to Neptune's Spire for another CS.
3)Went to Beaucidine (sp?) Glacier for another CS.
4)Looked around Beaucidine Glacier and found a Mirror Pond, but nothing happened. I think this has always been here if I remember correctly.

My guess is that you gather those 3 items mentioned in the CS, and bring it to the Mirror Pond since an icey lake was
mentioned somewhere in the CS, and a location was also mentioned in the CS saying northeast of Beaucidine Glacier. OR it could be Fei'Yin which is also northeast of Beaucidine Glacier. Both the lake and Fei'yin is located northeast.

I'm currently investigating Fei'Yin. No CS was available once I entered Fei'Yin. I will post any more information once I find out.

P.S. Thanks for the information above! Since you need to call your NPC to obtain those items, does this mean you can only get 1 item per day if all 3 items are located in 3 different areas (example: Giddeus, Grotto, Korroloka Tunnel, etc.)?

Just realized that the Harvesting Point in Giddeus is random, just like a normal Harvesting Point. So you'll have to look around for awhile. Checked Palborough Mines, didn't find anything special there.

Just found out that the other 2 items are in Jugner Forest and Maze of Shakhrami. And to Lun: If you don't have a Tactics Pearl, then yes, unfortunately. Luckily, I had 2 charges on my Tactics Pearl and one on my Signal Pearl; just enough.

Got all three items and visited the Mirror Pond in Beaucedine Glacier (it's at G-10, btw); nothing happened. :/ I'm wondering if you have to summon your NPC before checking it, like with the 3 items; I don't have any charges left atm, so I can't test it. I'm gonna do the Promyvion quest for a new Tactics Pearl in a little while; afterwards I'll see.

My friend just tried checking the pond and got nothing, then he equipped his signal pearl (didn't call NPC, just equipped it) and he got a cutscene.

If I remeber right... there are 2 ??? at that pond in B.G.

One is there all the time... not sure what its used for..

and the 2nd is only there when theres no weather effects.

I did the Item gathering.. I have my pearl equiped....but not getting a cutscene at the lake... I will wait for no weather to check the other ???

Does anyone have any more info???

I was WRONG! and the post above is wrong... The pond you need to check is at J-7 Happy NPCing!

OK... the 2nd Fellowship quest is called Mirror mirror. It involves a trip to Qu'bai arena in fei'yin. The quest itself is a lvl 50 cap BCNM against a Demon<Vassago> so plan equip accordingly.

Here how in won the fight through trial and errror.

Set your NPC to Stalwart Shield
Make sure either your main or sub can heal
Keep hate on your NPC, Vassago will use a special called Blighted Gloom. If this attack hits you, it will usually do 300+ dmg. If it hits your NPC, it will do 0, plus NPC will counter with Blessed Radiance for 200ish dmg.

Once you win, go back and talk to Luto, then go to the door in Neptunes Spire to have a CS with NPC.

The reward is better bonds
