Could anyone give detailed information about this quest? I can't seem to find the quest anywhere. I just know where to get the relic dagger and thats it. I would just like to know what I would need to get ready for this if anyone wouldn't mind taking the time to put some detailed information down. Thanks!

On average, your gonna need about 100million gil. And it takes like 1month or so (you have to wait for a goblin to upgrade the relic dagger to other stages). so yea, if your a gilbuyer or you got a 95+ craft to get gil on, more power to ya.

100 million? Closer to 800 million. And a lot longer than a month, around a year to find all the currencies and get the attestations. But, if you've got nothing to do...

Depending on which weapon, it runs about 17,900 currency. Given an 'average' price of 20k/currency (over the past year of collecting, it's gone from an average of 7k to 30k on my server) you're looking at 358m plus several million more in required materials. Availability is the hardest part, and you can almost guarantee currency price to continue rising and rising over the time it takes you to collect. My server runs 537m for the currency atm and I've always got the money to buy more but can never find much. I fully expect the average to easily topple 40k (716m) in the near future. Other servers could very well be at 40k or higher already.

And to even reasonably collect all this currency (let's say 3 years) you need to get 114 currency every week.

But there's some hope on the horizon, as SE just released news of 4 new dynamis zones, 32 players max, opening up (they will also drop AF2 and currency) so with increased dynamis'ing there should be more currency introduced into the market. I sincerely doubt it will effect prices, but it'll certainly effect availability to some degree.

Well I do plan on going on dynamis runs collecting the currency as well as buying it every once in a while from other players. I also do realize how long this process will take. Currency on Titan server has reached 50k for 1 byne bills. Same with o. bronzepieces and 1 t. whiteshells. 1 100 byne bills are going for 5 million gil and on the final product to make I read that it will need 100 100 byne bills... not to mention the 4 100 byne bills required for a sooner upgrade. I've only found bits and pieces on the quest.

Is it just me or does a lot of this currency hunting seem not so necessary? With all the stuff to do at endgame, why would we want to spend most of our time hunting the old currencies, when we could go to other areas or kill an HNM?

Well there are players that like to have items normal players wouldn't go for and waist time on. This is a pretty good challenge for those players.

Plus a lot of end-game players get to the point where there's nothing left to buy. You still have income from ENM's or crafting or drops from dynamis/missions/helping others, yet you've upgraded all you can upgrade. Sure relic costs an *insane* amount of money, but hey - what else are you going to do with your money but save for a toy Kraken Club.

I'm afraid this won't help at all unless the new areas have more than 4 times the drop rates of the old areas. SE has said that the 3 day limit on entering dynamis still stands with these new areas. so less people allowed in dynamis with the same amount of dynamis means less currency available.
