NPC new weapons?

Has anyone been able to change thier NPC's weapon to the 3rd or 4th upgrade? I have tried a few times with different Great Swords, but no success.
Would i have to do the limit break quest before i can do this?

I'm sorry for the double post but my NPC is only lvl50 at the moment and when I talked to Luto, she gave me the third weapon upgrade. So, I'm guessing you have to call your NPC around 6~7 times after the update.

<i>1st upgrade > 2nd upgrade > 3rd upgrade</i>:

<b>H2H</b> = Cesti > Bronze Knuckles > Baghnakhs
<b>Dagger</b> = Bronze Knife > Bronze Dagger > Baselard
<b>Sword</b> = Bronze Sword > Xiphos > Scimitar
<b>Great Sword</b> = Claymore > Two-Hand Sword > Inferno Sword
<b>Axe</b> = Bronze Axe > Brass Axe > Battleaxe
<b>Great Axe</b> = Butterfly Axe > Greataxe > Hydro Axe
<b>Scythe</b> = Bronze Zaghnal > Brass Zaghnal > Scythe
<b>Polearm</b> = Harpoon > Bronze Spear > Spear
<b>Club</b> = Bronze Mace > Bronze Hammer > Willow Wand
<b>Staff</b> = Ash Staff > Ash Pole > Holy Pole
<b>Katana</b> = Kunai > Wakizashi > Ganko
<b>Great Katana</b> = Tachi > Uchigatana > Nodachi/Kanesada(*)

First, I would like to apologize for screwing up the code tags. :P

Second, here's a list of 4th weapon upgrade:

H2H - Claws
Dagger - Kukri
Sword - Longsword
Great Sword - Falx
Axe - War Pick
Great Axe - Voulge
Scythe - Zaghnal
Polearm - Lance
Club - Brass Rod
Staff - Spiked Club
Katana - Busuto
Great Katana - Ashura

I gave my NPC a Lance to try something new. Penta Thrust <Yes, Please>. It's also the most expensive weapon you can give to your NPC; 50k on my server. :P She better be happy.

Good info, but it's pretty much useless to me now. :P

There is supposedly a 5th weapon upgrade as well. I just got it by talking to Luto. I'm not sure which weapons to give her. If anybody has any info, please post. :)
