Getting another DM earring?

is it possible to exchange DM earring for another one if I defeat the BC again?

There is no way of getting a different earring in that quest, to the best of my knowledge; you're stuck with whatever one you choose when completing the quest.

I have been told by many that if you drop your current earring and redo the quest and the 5 AA bcnm that you can actually pick a new one.

this is absolutly not true, a friend of mine dropped his earring and did the battle again to help me out and he did not get a new earring!
