How do these work? Can they be done in a party, or do they need an alliance. Also, what are the restrictions on who can fight in this?

Best you go in an alliance, no other Eco-Warrior or Escort for Hire quest should be active to get the quest. Level is cap 20. You will get a good amount of fame in that country and a scroll of Dragon Chronicles which give you a certain amount of exp when used(range 500-1000). Good way is to have 1 or 2 SMN with you, who could use Astral Flow. Than you could go with less people.
