not sure what prompted this quest, but i've been doing alot of choco digging in the jungles outside of kazam, and when i went to get a choco today, from
Tielleque
, she said:
Tielleque[i]: I realize that you are in a hurry, sir. However, might I make a simple request? One of our associate's chocobos has lost her way and cannot return home.
[i]Tielleque[i]: Would you be so kind as to deliver her to the hidden stables in Norg?
[i]Tielleque[i]: Oh, thank you so very much.
so... i got a choco (for free) and i set off for norg. when i started down the tunnel (just inside the entrance) i was automatically dismounted, and got a cutscene w/
Marilleune
.
[i]Marilleune
: You've helped our poor girl find her way home! I don't know how to thank you!
Marilleune
: And you did it in a mere (time it took me).
Marilleune
: Oh, and by the way, the fastest adventurer to date has been <name>. That talented driver traversed the same course as you in <time>.
Marilleune
: Anyway, please take this as a token of our appreciation.
And stop by again sometime. We may have more work for you.
i got a bunch of Gyshal greens, but no title. this may be one of the new chocobo 'racing' quests from the update.
Start NPC:
Tielleque
End NPC:
Marilleune
Quest Details:
Take a lost choco from kazam to norg, as fast as possible.
Item Granted:
Gyshal Greens x 1
Title Granted:
none.

I failed at this once cause I didn't have any riding gear on and I had to take a chocobo from Windy to Bastok.
But now I can't seem to get the quest to work again. I thought it might be something you have to wait 24hrs irl, but that doesn't seem to be it cause its been 2 days since I did the quest.
Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem?

I heard one possible reward from the choco quests is an xp scroll like the one from eco so i am guessing it will be like eco and reset each week or maybe like ENMs and 5 day wait.

Yeah have to wait one week before doing the quest again. You only get one shot at the quest, if you fail you have to wait till next week before trying again.

I did the choco from S.Sandy to Bastok Mines, took me 19m 41s about 50 seconds slower then the JP record holder. I got a page from the Dragon Chronicles, gave me 619xp. Timer is same as Escort quest, once per tally.
(PS: I first talked and was asked to go to Bastok, I declined the quest... zoned out/in talked again got the same quest so I'm assuming its 1 quest per town per tally, if you want a different run just decline the quest and go to a different town.)
Seems anything going too or from Windy is long and difficult. For a consistent run I would say do the Kazham one, I believe that only can only go to Norg, so provided you know the route well, it's pretty much a sure thing.

Did Bastok Mines to Jeuno run, 8 seconds slower than record holder, got Bastok Mines Glyph, "a high level transportation scroll". Haven't used it yet, assuming it's a one shot deal back to Bastok Stables.

When you reach the final zone you get an update on your time, then you have to take your chocobo to the zone in point they ask you to take it to.
Like I got Sandy to Bastok Mines, when you enter South gusta you get and update on you time, but then you need to take your chocobo to the Bastok Mines zone in entrance. When you get close enough to that zone point you will be auto-dismounted then get a cutscene and a reward if your lucky enough.

Wrong, when you go into the zone you'll be given your current time. You're done when you're just about to the stables exit - you'll enter a cutscene and be told your finishing time and get your reward.
South Gustaberg's is down at the Bastok Mines gate; some people screw this up by stopping at Bastok Markets gate.

I've never done an Escort quest. Are then repeatable? I had to go from Windy to Sandy and made it just a square south of the La Theine/West Rona. zone. oh and 1 more thing; what initiates the quest?

I have done this twice. If i remember right it was sandy to jeuno then i did jeuno to sandy the next week. Neither time did i get a record. Got greens first time and a dragon chronicles scroll 2nd time. I wanna say i got like 800 xp but i cant remember. Now I was in Kazham and was getting a bird and was offered the quest but i was in a hurry and couldnt do it then so i declined. This was a number of weeks ago and havnt been offered the quest again since then ><

Try asking another person in the stables to see if they offer you the quest. I have noticed that each person offers a different city and it changes every game day.
