Quote from: Guest
Quote from: Grog I'm not sure if this will all fit, or if you need info to finish the CoP missions but here it is. Promathia Missions Chapter 1 - Ancient Flames Beckon - 1-1 The Rites of Life Walkthrough Head to Delkfutt's Tower in Qufim. (Once you zone, a cutscene will occur) Then you have to head to Upper Jueno. (Once you zone, a cutscene will occur) Go to doctor Monberaux's place (East of the Goddess Church near the AH). Talk to Monberaux. After the cutscene you gain the Key Item "Mysterious Amulet" and the mission is complete. 1-2 Below the Arks Walkthrough Level 30 capped Talk to Rainhard(H-6) at RuLude Gardens, then Pherimociel(G-6) you will get a cutscene. Go to either La Theine Plateau(I-8), Tahrongi Canyon(I-6) or Konschtat Highlands(I-7) and check the "Shattered Telepoint" you will be transferred to "Hall of Transference". Check the "Large Apparatus", you will get a cutscene. After cutscene your level will be capped at 30 and you will be transported to Promyvion - (Holla,Dem,Mea). (You are now attuned to that portal, to enter another portal you need to use the "Large Apparatus"again to cancel your attunement) Emptiness monsters range from EP to IT (Thinkers and Gorgers being the toughest.) Well inside you travel around the islands using "Memory Receptacle" to warp around the islands. When you finally reach the 'Tower of (Holla,Mea,Dem)' enter the BC by checking the "Web of Recollections" Only 6 persons can enter the BC at a time. 1-3 The Mothercrystals Walkthrough Your mission objective will change after you defeat your first BC. Go to the remaining Craigs and check the "Shattered Telepoint" for a cutscene. Fight your way to the BC as before. After defeating all 3 BC's you will be transported to Lufaise Meadows. You will now be able to warp between Lufaise(K-8) and Valkurm(I-9), through the "Swirling Vortex". Chapter 2 - The Isle of Forgotten Saints - 2-1 An Invitation West Walkthrough "You have woken up in some unknown land, only to find your amulet has been stolen by a group of three Tarutaru. You think they may have run off somewhere to the west." Upon arriving in Lufaise Meadows, pat yourself on the back (really). You have succeeded in completing Promyvion Holla/Dem/Mea and that is no easy task. Once you have rested up, head west to (F-10). You will cross a ravine via a bridge and will eventually come to Tavnazian Stronghold. Along the way, be sure to avoid the assorted mobs if you are below level 50, as they can and will aggro. Upon entering Tavnazian Stronghold, you will be treated to another cutscene and will will be able to begin the next mission in the chapter. 2-2 The Lost City Walkthrough NOTE: Before doing the this mission, complete the quest "Unforgiven" to obtain a map of Tavnazian Stronghold and the surrounding areas. "According to its inhabitants, the Tavnazian Safehold was carved out of solid rock by survivors of the Great War. Speak with the city's inhabitants to learn more of their grave situation." Head to second floor and return to where you pick up Elysia's lost hairpin (K-10). Open the Walnut Door and speak to Despachiaire to trigger a cutscene. He proceeds to gives you some background on the history of Tavnazian Stronghold. Return to the circular room with the bridge and go down to the bottom level. Proceed to (I-7) and open the Sewer Entrance doors to receive another cutscene. During the cutscene, Justinius will speak of a Minotaur and of a "magic spell that limits the strength of the monsters" that roam in Phomiuna Aqueducts and the same spell limits the strength of anyone who enters. You and your newfound companion, Nag'molada offer to rid the Aqueducts of the Minotaur. When asked if you are ready to accept the challenge, answer yes to finish the cutscene. From there, you are ready to assemble your party and enter the Aqueducts to find the Minotaur and despose of it (which is the goal of CoP Mission 2-3). The Phomiuna Aqueducts are level capped at level 40, so be sure everyone is properly equipped. 2-3 Distant Beliefs Walkthrough "You have volunteered to journey into the Phomiuna Aqueducts to defeat the Minotaur. It appears that Nag'molada has set off ahead of you." While an alliance is helpful, it is not required for this mission. A party of six competent players (which anyone who has managed to pass the Promyvions **SHOULD** be) can do this mission without too much trouble. Everyone in the PT should bring at LEAST 2 stacks of holy waters, a couple of yagudo drinks, and at least a half-dozen hi-potions (even mages). Holy Water may not always remove Doom status so you will have to spam Holy Waters until either it is removed or you die. Additionally, you can bring a Re-Raise scroll. This is an area where the WHM cannot be relied upon to keep the PT alive. The Stegotaurs (and Minotaur) have an AoE poison that is pretty bad (10-15 dmg per tick) and lasts quite a while. By coming prepared with these items, you can ensure the WHM (and BLM/WHM) are not over-taxed on keeping the PT alive. This is not to say WHM's cannot do their job well in this area. All I am saying is you will make the WHM's life a lot easier (and probably survive a lot longer while the WHM is healing/cursna/etc other PT members) if you come prepared. Sneak will work to keep from getting aggro on all mobs except the Taurus-family mobs (they have true sight). There is no reason for keeping Invis up while you are here. Escape will work in here, so this area is classified as a Dungeon and not an outdoor area. Mobs in this area start checking at easy prey and go all the way up to IT++. That said, the level range of this area is probably 35-50. When fighting Taurus-family mobs (dinosaurs) and the Minotaur, turn your back when it does the ability "Mortal Ray". This is the Doom attack and if you get it, you have 10 seconds to use a Holy Water before dying. Mortal Ray is classified as a "Gaze" type attack, so it won't affect you if your not looking at the mob. Taurus-family mobs use Back Swish. This AOE is a frontal-attack AoE and will only hit people that it is facing. Taurus-family mobs use Frightful Roar, which is an AoE Defense Down attack. Stegotaurs can also drop a piece of Spruce Lumber (rare/ex). Taurus-family mobs will link with other Taurus-family mobs. The Minotaur spawns at (J-3) on the second map. I am told it spawns in other parts of both maps... but this is where we found it. The Minotaur fight is not a BCNM-style fight, so an alliance can take this on. Be warned that the Minotaur has a big aggro radius and once it aggroes someone, it will summon the entire PT of the person aggroed to him. You will not get a cutscene once the Minotaur is dead. Additionally, your mission log will not update. If you return to Tavnazian Stronghold and speak to Justinius, he will not believe you killed the Minotaur unless he hears from Nag'molada as well. Bring a THF along with you and ensure he/she has Thief Tools to pick the lock on the Iron Door at (G-8). Otherwise you will have to camp Fomor mobs (shadow versions of the assorted jobs) for a Bronze Key to unlock the door. After passing through the Iron Door, proceed to (C-8) and check the Wooden Stairs. A cutscene with Nag'molada will occur. After the cutscene, climb the ladder and follow the hallway to reach a room with targetable oil lamps. Along the way to the room, you will encounter two Taurus mobs in the hallway. It is important you only pull ONE at a time, as both are IT++ and will decimate your PT. On the other side of the door, you will encounter more Fomor mobs, so have Sneak up before opening the door. Once inside, go around the shelving and hit the ??? to open a hidden door. This leads you to the candle room. The candle room puzzle is dependant upon the current Vanadiel day. For reference, here is the elemental chart: Fire is strong to Ice Ice is strong to Wind Wind is strong to Earth Earth is strong to Lightning Lightning is strong to Water Water is strong to Fire Light and Dark are equal to each other **Elemental Strength/Weakness chart taken from Advanced Guide to Gardening Guide.** In candle room (E-8 on second map), press the candles that represent the element of the current Vanadiel day and the element that is weak to the current Vanadiel day (example: Iceday would be Ice candle and Wind candle) to open the hidden door in the center of the passage. The hidden door will only remain open for a short time (10-15 seconds I believe), so be quick. Open one Ornate Gate and then check the second Ornate Gate to get a cutscene. 2-4 An Eternal Melody Walkthrough "You must meet with the young Elvaan leader of the Tavnazian Patrol and have her return your amulet. You must also try to find a woman named Ulmia..." After speaking with Justinius to finish Mission 2-3, head up the ramp and check the Walnut Door at K-7. After the cutscene, head to Misareaux Coast and check the Dilapidated Gate at I-11. Once the cutscene is done, head back to Tavnazian Stronghold and go to the circular room with the bridge. A cutscene will commence and this mission will be done. 2-5 Ancient Vows Walkthrough After speaking with Ulmia and returning to Tavzanian Safehold (Mission 2-4), "Ancient Vows" should now appear in your CoP mission log. When assembling your party/alliance keep in mind that Riverne Site #A01 is a Lv40 cap area, so make sure you and your fellow party members are properly equipped. Only 6 people (one party) can fight the boss at one time. To begin, head to the Dilapidated Gate in (F-7) of Misareaux Coast to trigger a cutscene featuring the three infamous Tarutarus that stole your Amulet earlier in the game. Once you are on the other side of the gate, you will see a "Spatial Displacement." Entering the displacement will warp you into Riverne Site #A01. To get through Riverne Site #A01, you must go through 4 more spactial displacements until you finally reach the BC area. To get through the second and third displacements, you will need to trade a ?Dragon Scale dropped by Firedrake Wyverns (spawn in area between the 1st and 2nd displacement). You will need 2 Dragon Scales to get through the entire Riverne Site #A01. Anyway, once you enter from Misareaux Coast, the first displacement is in (L-8). Once you enter this displacement you will be in the area where the Firedrake Wyverns spawn. After you have 2 Dragon Scales, trade one scale to the Displacement in (G-10) and you will be warped into the third area. This area has Atomic Clusters that aggro to sight and magic, so get invis up and head to the displacement in (E-10) and trade the other Dragon Scale and enter the displacement. This next area is filled with IT++ mobs that have true sight, so be careful, just walk along to right edge to reach the last displacement. Entering this displacement will warp you to an uncapped area of "Monarch Linn" where you can enter the Lv40 cap Boss BC area. This uncapped area is a good place to go over fighting strategy and make sure all macros are working properly. Aftering entering the Battlefield, you will receive a cutscene. Now is a good time for the White Mage to cast Reraise. Defeating the three Mamet-19-Epsilons will end this mission. Chapter 3 - A Transient Dream - 3-1 The Call of the Wyrmking Walkthrough Right after the fight in the previous mission, you'll find yourself just outside Bastok near the Lighthouse. Head to Port Bastok and approach the Airship agency. After cutscene, proceed to Bastok Metalworks to talk to Cid. 3-2 A Vessel Without a Captain Walkthrough Go to Lower Jeuno's Neptune Spire and check on the door deep inside to get another cut scene. After that go to the Ru'Lude Gardens Palace and click on the palace door. 3-3 The Road Forks Walkthrough After cutscene, the mission divides into 2 parts - SanDoria route and Windurst route. Route details are given below. You are free to go through either route. You can also go through both routes at the same time since there's no need to complete one route to start the next. After completing both routes, head back to Metalworks and talk to Cid. 3-3A Emerald Waters Walkthrough Enter North Sandoria to start this leg of the mission. (1) Vicissitudes Talk to Arnau the priest in the Cathedral. Next talk to Chasalvige in the Manuscript Room on the left. (2) Descendents of Line Lost Next go to Carpenter's Guild via the (E-6) Entrance Point in Jugner Forest. Look for a NPC called Guilloud beside a boulder at (H-10). Talking to him will spawn a Malboro mob named Overgrown Ivy. LV75 character with nin or whm sub should be sufficient to defeat it however watch out for it's Hundred Fist ability. (3) Louverance After defeating Overgrown Ivy, return to South San d'Oria and look for Hinaree at the Manor (B-6). This ends the Sandorian leg. 3-3B Memories of a Maiden Walkthrough Enter Windurst waters to start this leg of the mission. (1) Comedy of Errors Head to Rhinostery right-hand room (J-9) and talk to Ohbiru-Dohbiru. Next go to Winwalls and talk to Yoran- Moran at his house. Then go back to Windurst waters to Timbre Timbers Tavern (F-10) and talk to Kyume- Romeh. (2) Comedy of Errors Go to the southern portion of Windurst waters to the house of Honoi-Gomoi (E-7). Talk to Honoi-Gomoi to receive a key item Mimeo Mirror. Go back to Winwalls again to talk to Yoran-Oran for the method to repair the mirror. To repair the mirror, you need to go to Attohwa Chasm to find a point marked "Loose Sand" (K-8). Checking the point will spawn a Antlion mob called Lioumere. Try to fight it away from the Loose Sand spawn, if it returns to the base, its HP will be recovered. Defeat it and check the Loose Sand again to get another key item Mimeo Egg. Next, you'll need to climb the intricate mountain of Parrademo Tor to reach the summit within a time limit of 1 hour before the egg disappears and check a point marked "Cradle of Rebirth" to get 3 Mimeo Feathers as key item. If you can't get to the top in time, you'll have to check the Loose Sand again (without any antlion fights) and try again. The starting point for the climb up is located somewhere to the southeast corner of the Tor near the Loose Sand. The path is very narrow with no natural barriers so one wrong step and u fall down. However along the way there are some smog barriers that are either permanent or temporary. If you encounter a permanent smog barrier, it usually indicates that you need to continue by falling one step down to the path below. Try to work your way up the summit in a anti-clockwise direction. Return to Windurst and talk to Yoran-Oran. (3) Exit Stage Left Go to Port Windurst and talk to Yujuju (M-6), then Windwaters northern (G-8) and talk to Tosuka-Porika. After the cutscene, talk to Yoran-Oran for the last time in Windurst walls to complete this mission. 3-4 Tending Aged Wounds Walkthrough Go to Lower Jeuno and inspect the door of the Tenshodo Headquarters at the Neptune's Spire. 3-5 Darkness Named Walkthrough Go to Upper Jeuno's Infirmary and talk to Monberaux. Proceed to Lower Jeuno Neptune Spire and go into Tenshodo and talk to Ghebi Damomohe (I-7). She'll ask you to bring one of the 3 chips that can be obtained from Pso Xja. ??Carmine Chip - Snow Lizard or Frost Lizard [Etoh: I got my chip from this, at a no-level-cap psoxja from beaucidine tower (F-7) where Nue spawns. They drop pretty easily...gotten all 6 for my PT in 2 hours. Decent Challenge to LV75] ??Gray Chip - Diremite Stalkers (at Tower near Ranguemont), Diremite Assaulters, Diremite ??Cyan Chip - Treasure Chest Mimics Bring either one of the above chip back to Ghebi Damomohe and trade to her to get a key item and 500g reward. Go to Beaucedine and enter Pso'Xja via (H-8) tower (near outpost guards) which has a LV40 cap. -From entrance, go straight until you reach a circular plaza. Head to the branch northward and you'll see a Red Warp (H-7) -After the Red warp, turn right and walk straight ahead to Black Warp (I-7) -Walk westward to the 2nd room, turn left and walk thru a Red Warp (H-7) -After red warp, turn right and walk straight ahead to Black Warp (I-7) -Go west to the 2nd room and turn left to reach the Elevator area. -Head north, turn left and down a flight of stairs to a Stone Gate where you click to use your Key Item gotten earlier on in Jeuno to enter the Shrouded Maw BC holding area. You might be thinking I may have typo by repeating sentences, but that's the correct way of navigating PsoXja. So its a hint that it could be quite mazy. Mobs like Gazers and Snowballs will aggro at your level so take caution. Once you've reached the Shrouded Maw, do the necessary preps and click on the 'Memento Circle' to enter boss fight. In here you'll fight the familiar Diabolos in FF series. Diabolos is fairly easy to battle with if your tankers have ninja sub yet again. Defeating Diabolos will earn you a title. Return to Upper Jeuno to talk to Monberaux doctor at Upper Jeuno Infirmary to finish this chapter and earning another title. Chapter 4 - The Credles of Children Lost - 4-1 Sheltering Doubt Walkthrough Enter the Tavnazian Safehold for a cutscene. After that go to 3rd floor (K-10) Despachiaire's room for a briefing. After that talk to Justinus. Go to the Dilapidated Gate at (I-11) Misareaux Coast for a cutscene. At the same time, Safehold's AH and Mogpost services are up for use once you have entered Chapter 4 (connects direct to Jeuno). Supply quest for Tavnazia unlocks after completing this. 4-2 The Savage Walkthrough Check on another Dilapidated Gate at (F-7) Misareaux Coast for another cutscene and you will be able to access to Riverne Site B01 this time from the Spatial Displacement. B01 has a level cap of LV50 this time so make sure you have the right equipment prepared at Safehold first. The navigation pattern for B01 is more or less the same as A01 in Chapter 2, where you'll need 1 Giant Scales from the Pyrodrake wyverns to pass through the Unstable portal. The final spatial displacement at (E-8) will bring you to the BC holding area of Monarch Linn. BC fight of LV50 against the great dragon of Ouryu. This dragon has the ability to fly, which makes all close range attacks useless. At the same time, you cannot sleep it while it is in the air. Techniques against Ouryu As mentioned, it is a flying dragon. This BC may be a tough one to clear so take note. Tanks bring lots of hipotions and 1 or 2 Au Laits. Paladin, Monks, Rangers are preferred. Ninja tanks are gonna be a bit tough. For mages, BLM is a must. For the first part, fight the dragon as per normal. Only Paralyse and Silence sticks properly as it is a Stone elemental dragon. Stonega is pretty damaging so Silence it when necessary. RDM dispel any Stoneskin if it casts on itself. When the dragon starts to fly, my PT didn't kite it with Gravity as what most pts do. Instead our Paladin stood still and handled the dragon while the mages spam cures on him. We found out that kiting it is very messy and our mages couldn't cure the Paladin in time when he ran too far off. This strategy seemed neater and we won it when we changed to this strategy instead of marathon kiting (died 3 times with kite strategy). Since all close range attacks are null when it is flying, mages nuke it with Aero2 and rangers continue shooting it. Endure until Ouryu comes down to the ground. Once it's on the ground, mages Lullaby/Sleep1 it then -> Sleep2 after a short while. This will polong its sleep period a bit. During sleep, everyone recover HP/MP. If someone has a Curega Earring, that'll be fantastic as it doesn't cost MP! Once Ouryu wakes up, it will start flying again. Rinse and repeat the process...In this match, if someone has a ??Mistmelt item, it is quite helpful in forcing the dragon down onto the ground if there are any emergencies. Your job is to bring the Ouryu's HP down to 30% for the battle to end. Therefore, when its HP is brought down to 50% or so, BLM please use manafont+start casting Freeze spell, while everyone else use their 2HR ability on standby. Once Freeze is casted, the damage most likely enough to bring HP down to 30%. Therefore the hard part in this BC is enduring throughout the first 50% of its HP. Once cutscene starts, New title gained. Return to the Safehold and talk to Justinus. Another new title gained. 4-3 The Secrets of Worship Promathia Mission 4.3 After defeating Ouryu and returning to Tavnazian Safehold, check the Walnut Door on the top floor (K-7) for a cutscene. You'll be told that you can access the Sacrarium cathedral via Misareaux Coast "Iron Gate" at (H-4). The Sacrarium has a LV50 cap. You need to get 2 ??Coral Crest Keys from fomor mobs to clear this mission. This key will disappear from your inventory once used. You'll need another key called the Sealion Crest Key from an NM called 'Keremet' in a large hall at 2nd map (L-8). Hitting the Keremet will aggro 6 additional Azren Kuba and 6 Azren Kugusa skeleton mobs in, so in effect there are 13 mobs rampaging at the same time. Clear these 12 skeletons first (they are very weak) and the Stegosaurs in the hall first before engaging the Keremet. At this point, you may wish to remove the curse of the Fomors off to facilitate easy navigation further into Sacrarium. You can do this by killing orcs and gigas in Lufaise Meadows and Misareaux Coast. In order to determine your fomor hate level, you can talk to the priest near the walnut door on the 3rd floor of Tavnazian Safehold (K-7). If you have killed too many fomors without killing a corresponding number of beastmen, fomors will start to aggro you and may even eventually start to see through your sneak. There is a lot of speculation as to what the ratio is, but to be safe, if you kill 2 beastmen for every fomor, you should be safe. The ratio may be closer to 1:1, but this is not confirmed. After getting hold of the keys, head to (H-7) where there will be a Large Keyhole and Small Keyhole marked. Trade the Coral Crest Key to the Small one first, while the Sealion Crest Key goes to the Large one. This act cannot be done by one person alone, so when hunting for keys, entrust each key to different players in your PT/Alliance. Make sure you trade the Sealion Key shortly right after the Coral key has been traded or else the Coral Key will vanish and lose its effect. Walk straight ahead to the Wooden Gate (G-8) after opening the keyholes for a cut scene. Next you need to find a key item marked '???' which pops randomly either at one of these locations: F-5, G-5, H-5, F-11, G-11, H-11. Checking the ??? mark will pop a main NM Old Professor Mariselle, and 2 other minions Mariselle's Pupil (Ghost type). Defeat them and check the ??? mark again to get the key item. Return back to the Large & Small keyhole at (H-7) again and do the same opening procedures as above and now you can open the Wooden Gate with the key item. 4-4 Slanderous Utterings Walkthrough Return to Tavnazian Safehold and talk to Despachiaire. Go down to the basement and head to Sealion's Den. Check on the Iron Gate for a cutscene to complete this chapter. New title gained. Chapter 5 - The Return Home - 5-1 The Return Home Walkthrough Go to North San d'Oria Cathedral and talk to Chasalvige (L-6) in the manuscript room. Go to Port Sandoria Airship departure room and talk to Anoki (H-6). Next go to Port Bastok and a cutscene with the next chapter's title opening will show. After that, go to Bastok Metalworks and talk with Cid. If you have completed the series of 3 CoP quests from Raibaht, you should be able to see the name of the airship you've given being displayed in the cutscene. Next go to Beaucedine Glacier to prepare to enter Promyvion - Vhazl. Enter via the tower where Nue spawns (F-7). Walk straight in until you come to a Stone Door at (H-8). Check the door to activate a trap where a NM Golem 'Nunyunuwi' spawns and attacks. Nunyunuwi has quite low HP of 3500, BUT it possesses an incredible auto-regen ability that heals 100+ HP/sec!! Soloing it is virtually impossible. Store TP to 300% and do a Dark renkei or spam with summoner LV70+ abilities to finish it off in a single blow. Enter the Stone Door after defeating the golem and take the elevator down. Check the Stone Door there for a cutscene. 5-2 The Enduring Tumult of War Walkthrough Level cap at LV50. After going through 2 memory receptacle warps, you have to start looking for Memory Flux points to rescue the 3 NPCs. First one is at (J-8). Check to spawn a Propagator NM. Defeat and look for memory receptacle to warp. Second one at (M-6), check to spawn Solicitor NM. Defeat and warp to next level. Last flux is at (C-6/D-6) inbetween, check to spawn Ponderer NM. Backtrack to (F-6) for BC entry. BC fight: All 3 bosses (Holla, Mea, Dem) in one BC. Fighting one won't aggro the other 2. Next boss won't move until current boss about 20% HP left. Store Tp or abilities and let it out on 20% to finish it off quickly before the next boss comes. Try to devise ways to take care of the next incoming boss, like Shadow Bind or Avatars etc. Suggested fighting order: Middle -> Left -> Right. After defeating all three, head to the tower at (I-7) and talk to the 3 Tarutarus inside. Fly to Bastok's Metalworks to talk with Cid. 5-3 Three Forks Walkthrough Similar to chapter 3's double forks, you can progress on the 3 separate forks simultaneously. 5-3A Past Sins Walkthrough [Louverance Path] Go to Tavnazian Safehold and talk with Despachiaire. (1) Southern Legend Go to WinWoods and talk to Perih Vashai (K-7). (2) Partners Without Fame Next go to Bibiki Bay and take the ManaClipper to Purgonorgo Isle and go to the south bay (H-11) where you'll find a NPC WarMachine. Check it for a cutscene. (3) A Century of Hardship Before you proceed further, each individual should go to Movalpolos Newton to get a ?Gold Key from Goblin Fireman, Goblin Packman (Easy Prey to LV75) to be used later on in the mission. Next go back to WinWalls and talk with Yoran-Oran. Then go to Oldton Movalpolos to activate another cutscene. Head to (K-10) where you can see the NPC moblins and the Rusty Levers. If you have a ??Snow Lily with you, you can trade it to Tarnotik NPC moblin on the left who will warp you directly to the BC entrance. Beware this only applies to the person using it, not the whole PT. If someone doesn't have a Snow Lily, you have to get 3 person to activate the 3 Levers at the same time to raise the bridge to cross to Movalpolos Newton and use at least 3 Firesand items to activate the Furnace to turn the Turnstile Gates for the PT to reach the BC...very troublesome. Snow Lily can be obtained from Ulegerand Tigers or Cwn Awwn dogs at Ulegerand Range. Shaft 2716 LV60 cap BC. Movamuq Chekochuk Trikotrak Swipostik Bugbby When it defeats you, it is an event. I go to Cid of Metalworks. (4) Departures I return to Bastok, and it is an event when it talks in Cid of Metalworks (H-8). It is said to go to Movalpolos once again. I go in Shaft 2716, and it is an event when it trades ?Gold Key in Shaft Entrance. When a return hands 800G to Sleakachiq which there is in Newton Movalpolos (J-7), I have you transfer you to North Gustaberg. I return to Bastok, and it is an event when it talks in Cid of Metalworks (H-8). 5-3B The Pursuit of Paradise Walkthrough [Tenzen Path] Visit the ??? spot at (G-6) in La Theine for cutscene. (1) Spiral Go to the tower closest to Fei-Yin (J-8) to enter the LV50 capped Pso'Xja. As you progress in there, checking the Stone Doors may or may not activate the trap which spawns a Gargolye. If the Gargolye pops, you have to kill it to open the door. The path in here is a long and winding one with many stone doors to open. You will be fighting some tonberries, bats and magic pots along the way. At the end point, cast sneak and take the elevator down to the Avatar Gate for a cutscene. (2) Branded Go to Upper Jeuno infirmary and talk to Monberaux (G-10). Then go to the armory room in Ru'Lude Palace, and talk to Monberaux again. (3) Pride and Honor Exit through Upper Jeuno to Batallia. Walk out to the stone gates and turn left just beside the gate. You will find a hidden "???" mark on the ground. Check it for a cutscene. After the cutscene, check the ??? mark again to get a Key Item. Next head to Lower Delkfutt's 1st floor and check the Cermet Gate at (H-5) to spawn an NM. (4) And the Compass Guides Next head to Beaucedine again and go to the tower nearest to the Battalia exit (H-10) to enter the LV60 capped Pso'Xja for a cutscene. After this, report back to Cid to end this route. 5-3C Where Messengers Gather Walkthrough [Ulmia Path] Go to South San d'Oria (B-6) Trader's Manor and talk to Hinaree. (1) Enlanglement Enter Port San d'Oria for event. Go to the Cathedral at North San d'Oria and talk to Chasalvige inside the manuscript room. (2) Head Wind Go to Windurst Waters' Rhinostery and talk to Kerutoto. Then go to Windurst Walls and visit Yoran-Oran. You will be told to go to Attohwa Chasm to find the 3 Tracker Mithras. They are waiting at the Boneyard Gully BC. This is a LV50 capped BC fight with the 3 Shikaree Mithras. Because of their WS spams, your PT might die to it pretty fast if without organized tactics. Together with a dragon call and a rabbit summon, there is a total of 5 mobs attacking. It will be best if you can sleepga them with BLM or lullaby them with a bard but only Shikaree Z has a higher probability being slept. At the beginning of the battle, have a PLD aim at Shikaree Z first and use Invincible (or get a brave tanker) to get hate and let the Summoner use Astral Flow (use avatar according to the elemental day) on the 5 mobs. This should reduce their HP to more than half. If anyone has a Siredon Grill item, this would be the time to use them. It would stop the Mithra you are fighting with to halt TP regen, so it won't keep spamming WS. As for the Summoner, quickly restore MP with HiEthers or Super Ether and use the 2nd Astral Flow. This should kill off Shikaree Z and the 2 pet summons, leaving Shikaree X and Y. If this works, the battle is half won! Concentrate on Y and then X cautiously. If the Summoner can still use Astral Flow, by all means go ahead. Please get a lot of Hi Potions along. (3) Flames for the Dead Next you have to go to Ulegerand Range to reach Bearclaw Pinnacle for another BC fight. To go to Bearclaw Pinnacle, go westward thru the first cave and you will reach a wide open area with an upslope with some Buffalo mobs roaming around. Somewhere around (J-10) there is a pithole on the ground. Drop down that hole and walk eastwards initially. You will come to a T-junction and walk Northward. Bearclaw Pinnacle BC is a LV60 capped fight. This fight involves 1 Snoll Tzar bomb boss. This boss is a bit... well... tricky. You are given 45 seconds (yes...seconds -_-; ) to defeat the bomb, similar to the time bomb BCNM. The bomb will grow in size 3 times (long time FF fans should find that familiar LOL) before it explodes. And whether you die to that explosion or not, you will be expelled from the BC and the fight fails. Therefore you need to do mucho damage and FAST! When I went, we had a PT config of RNG, SAM, RDM, RDM, RDM, SMN. RNG had a SAM sub, while SAM subbed RNG and both the attackers gained TP to 100% before entering BC. We also brought along Hi-reraiser potion since we don't have a WHM. Once in the BC, do the necessary buffs. At the start, RNG n SAM spams as many Sidewinders as possible, and the 3 RDMs chainspell Fire2, SMN use Ifrit Astral Flow. If anyone has Shu-Meyu Salt item, this would be a good time to use it if you think you can win the battle. The Salt will increase the time limit by 15 seconds. If (touch wood) in the event, you failed the BC and survive, you will be booted out of the BC. Also you will have a status effect of Slip where you lose 32HP per 3 seconds. If you have very low HP remaining, you may die off. If you already died, dun reraise yourself too quickly. After the fight, go back to Cid and report to him. BF : 6ppl , Lv.No cap. Tenzen <- Attack object Cherukiki Makki-Chebukki Kukki-Chebukki 3. There is an event when I defeat you, and it is splashed by Al'Taieu. ----different walkthrough 7-5 The warriors Path Board the newly repaired airship and head for the fifth mothercrystal. Will your path be intercepted by Nag'molada? The dreadful wyrms? Or a completely unexpected opponent...? Enter the BCNM by targeting the Iron Gate in Sealion's Den. This frustrating, glitchy BCNM is a 30-minute long (although it will take nowhere near that length) debacle against the Samurai Tenzen and those three annoying Chains of Promathia Tarutaru: Cherukiki, Makki-Chebukki, and Kukki-Chebukki. First off, Cherukiki (WHM), Makki-Chebukki (RNG), and Kukki-Chebukki (BLM) are impervious to physical damage and are resistant to all forms of magic; however, they can be somewhat distracted. In truth, these three bratty Tarutarus make this BCNM much harder than it actually needs to be (it's already moderately difficult). Nothing's worse than getting Tenzen down right where you want him and having Cherukiki cast an ill-timed Cure IV or Cure V. They will Paralyze your tank, Silence your mages and your Avatars, while they cast Protect, Haste, and Shell on Tenzen. They have ranged attacks that do substantial damage to your mages (around 100 per hit) and cast -aga spells on your entire party. Tenzen is a whole other set of problems. Like many other NMs in FFXI, Tenzen can use his two-hour ability (Meikyo Shisui) more than once. Although I've never seen him use it more than twice, it doesn't matter. If he gets around to using it for the second time, your entire party is finished. Tenzen can create a devastating Lv.4 Skillchain with himself called Cosmic Elucidation. Even if some of your party members happen to survive his Cosmic Elucidation, they will be ejected from the BCNM and have it explained to them in their log that they "were overwhelmed by Cosmic Elucidation". It seems to me that if you rush Tenzen at the beginning of the BCNM and drop his HP to below 50% before he has used Meikyo Shisui then we will use Cosmic Elucidation on his first Meikyo Shisui. If you take it slow, then he will usually use Meikyo Shisui twice, finishing with Cosmic Elucidation on his second attempt. Interestingly, before his HP drops below 50%, you can successfully disrupt his first Meikyo Shisui. However, there is no (known) way that you can disrupt his second Meikyo Shisui. When he goes for the win with Cosmic Elucidation then there is nothing you can do to stop him. To add insult to injury, Tenzen will eat a Shogun Riceball around 75% or 50% HP. This food effect, which greatly enhances his defense, can not be dispelled. In fact, "greatly enhances" is putting it lightly. Your normal melee attacks will be decreased by more than half. Weaponskills that did around 700 damage will not start to around 350-400. Taking this into account, it's best to do your physical, melee damage to him at the start of the BCNM and save your magical attacks for after. -------------------- Chapter 8 - Emptiness Bleeds - 8-1 Walkthrough 1. When it examines Crystalline Field (H-11) of Al'Taieu, it is an event. 2. I defeat you when I examine Rubious Crystal of a thing of D-10 and H-13 and L-10 because three NM of Ru'aern appears each. When it examines Gate of the Gods (H-8) in Grand Palace of Hu'Xzoi, it is an event. 7. I obtain Tavnazian Ring. Reward Tavnazian Ring ----different walkthrough 8-1 Garden Of Antiquity The celestial capital of Al'Taieu truly exists. Though vastly altered during the ten thousand-year span of their seclusion, the ancients remain alive in the city. Nag'molada heads for the palace, while you and your companions follow in his wake... Head southeast to the Crystalline Field @ (H-11) for your first cutscene. Travel to the 3 towers located at (D-10), (H-13), & (L-10) and click the Rubious Crystal to spawn Ru'aern x3. Upon defeating the Ru'aern at each tower click the Rubious Crystal again for a cutscene. Go back to the Crystalline Field @ (H-11) for another cutscene and to pass through the gate. Click the Gate of the Gods @ (H-8) for a cutscene and to get your Tavnazian Ring! The east Particle Gate @ (H-8) will give one more cutscene. -------------------- 8-2 A Fate Decided Walkthrough 1. Ix'ghrah : Perfect Dodge / Waterga III / Ghrah Special Attack 16. It is cutscene after having defeated you when it examines Cermet Portal. 8-3 When Angels Fall Walkthrough 1. I open Gate of the Gods(H-8) in Grand Palace of Hu'Xzoi. 2. It is entering, cutscene in The Garden of Ru'Hmet. 3. I obtain Mysterious Amulet. Reward Mysterious Amulet ----different walkthrough 8-3-- You've been granted access to the Garden of Ru'Hmet. You must search the five towers in this area to regain the light you lost at the start of 8-1. Which light you lost depends on what race you are (Mithra lost the light of Dem, for example), and there is one tower for each race. You won't have to ascend all 5 towers, unless like us, your team comprises of all 5 races (nice going, Esger). You can get the map as you go, by tagging the NPCs - there are 10 total here. There aren't any required battles for this portion, so if you're skilled at avoiding those rotating eye things it's possible to solo this part. After you have your light you need to get two "brands." To get to the area of where they are you must pass by 4 angry rotating eye things and a trap door. If these eyes aggro you the door closes. You have 3 options here: First, you can mgs (metal gear solid) your way past the eyes (on these, both the large and small eye can see you, plus they all rotate at different speeds). Your second option is to just kill them, but it takes at least a full party of 75s and you probably want to be able to sleep them too. The third, and most popular option, is to get some form of reraise status on yourself, aggro the eyes and die right next to the locked door. Once the pots drift back to their starting positions you'll be clear to reraise, the door will be open and you can just stroll through. The brands are past some weird distortion things, I'm afraid I wasn't paying full attention to this part. Once everyone has their light back and both brands you can enter the BCNM. This battle is uncapped, plus it's in the same zone (like the dragon for the NPC quest) so you can TP-up on monsters downstairs before you enter. In this battle you face 4 eye thingies, two Blm and two Rdm types. The exit is on the far side from where you enter. In theory you want to seal+sleepga the pots, unload on one of the Blm pots and kill it asap. Continue to sleep and beat down the second Blm pot. If you're in trouble at this point you need to be in (or run to) a "safe" area around the edge/near the exit and wipe. Once the Rdm eyes reset position you can raise, use sleeping potions to TP up, heal and finish them off. I hate to say "you need job X," and you don't absolutely need a Blm here, but holy crap it sure helps a lot in this case. We had one team lose only because they ran out of time (and last pot was under 10% too) before we got Blm help. So Rdm Rdm Whm Drg Thf Pld certainly can win this fight, it's just really rough. Swapping in a Blm for one of the Rdm and it becomes eays in comparison (not that its actually easy, just in comparison). Kill the 1st Blm pot with everything you've got, and continue on to the second. If you kill them both before you wipe, you shouldn't lose. ES Sleepga II is the MVP here, with ES Sleepga and ES Sleep II after that. As stated above, you can safely die along the wall at either end, the South (blm pot) end is better because if they're dead you can be anywhere on the S 1/2 of the room and reraise safely. Also note that pots don't aggro across the left-right centerline. Don't forget bar-spells and watch out for having your reraise dispelled (and this is a fight where everyone will want to use a reraise item before going in). Also of note, Mnk 2hr totally owns these pots, our Rdm Blm Whm Drg Mnk Pld team managed to kill 3 of the pots before they wiped. I've been told that double-Mnk 2hr with Blm help does actually make this BCNM easy. After you finish you're dropped in some room, tag the funky glowy wall at one end for a cutscene. Then exit out to Al'Taieu for another neato cutscene. ----------------- 8-4 After the 8-3 battle and the two cutscense (the latter is really the start of this, as it reveals the final boss powering up for the apocolypse), you simply head to the bottom of the main elevator and into a new zone room which has the final BCNM entrance. There's a cutscene at the entrance to the BCNM, and after you watch that you can touch the area for the BCNM entry choice "Dawn." This battle is rather easy compared to the rest of CoP. How easy? We beat it on the first try with Pld Whm Smn Rng Drg/sam Thf/nin. Sure we used some ethers and hi-potions, but we didn't have refresh and only had one provoker. Yappari Kero-chan Check! 1) Part 1 of this fight is easy, don't waste any 2hrs on it. You have just enough time to full rest before the NPC starts the second part. 2) You have two NPC allies, a flying one and a non-flying one. If the flying one dies, you lose. You can cast raise on the non-flier. In fact, it is recommended that you not even heal the non-flier, just raise 1 them when they die. 3) You can let the non-flying NPC ally tank most of the time, also, the NPCs do most of the killing too. In our case our Pld the entire fight, the important thing is you don't want the flying NPC ally to tank - they're out of your healing range. Smn pet can also tank most of this battle, or so I read. Astral for the attack ability isn't worth it. 4) Boss has heinous, crazy abilities - Quiesence - aoe silence that cannot be removed (I think you can spam echos 25% chance maybe?) and lasts 2 minutes, and Oblivion - aoe "you have no job abilities at all (no WS neither)" that lasts 1 minute. Also, it has "no magic damage" and "no physical damage" abilities - they don't last too long 5) When Quiesence hits, kite it around the outside (the arena is quite large) and regen mp. We actually kited it for most of the battle to avoid Meteor and reduce the number of smacks taken. Mages will need to run if they get hate during Oblivion. 6) While it does do some aoe damage attacks, they aren't huge. We had hipotions on all three melees so we could heal ourselves and not waste whm MP. We ran out of MP with the boss at 10% or so, people started dying but a couple of WS, a big hit from an NPC and good old fashioned Thf meleeing took it down. Icarus wings are nice for the finish here. Ring. Can I have it? Once you win, I'm sure you'll want those uber rings. The required steps to get your ring are detailed here: My Three Rings Congratulations, you've complete CoP and Averted the Apocolypse! Now go back and finish Zilart and all 3 nation mission sets you lazy n00b! ------------ Additional quest to get one of three rings... After defeating CoP 8-4: Dawn, you may do an additional side quest for some rings. After the 8-4 BCNM, you must wait until the next Japanese day (midnight JST). In America, this is 11:00AM EDT/8:00AM PDT (10:00AM EST/7:00AM PST). Travel to Southern San d'Orian and visit Hinaree in Count Caffaule's Manor (B-6) Next, travel to Uleguerand Range for a cutscene. Return to Southern San d'Orian and head to Count Caffaule's Manor again. You will receive another cutscene right before the door. Travel to Oldton Movalpolos. You will receive a cutscene when you zone. Talk to Cid (H-8) in Bastok's Metalworks. Talk to Chipmy-Popmy (C-8) in Port Windurst. Travel to Mhaura town and you'll receive a cutscene upon zone. Head to Bibiki Bay and take the Manaclipper to Purgonorgo Isle. Talk to ??? Warmachine at (H-11). You'll receive a random colored drop after a short cutscene. Head to Ru'Lude Gardens and you'll get a cutscene on the way to the door of the Grand Duke's Palace (H-6). Now, head to the Marble Bridge Eatery (F-7). Examine the door to get a short cutscene. Examine the door again and Zuber will offer you one of three spectacular rings. Sadly, Steal and Mug don't work on him. You can only pick one.
It lacks some detail.
