What are beastmen seals for?

I have asked countless Adventurers this question and have come up with countless answers. I am convinced they do nothing but someone please set me straight. What the hell are beastmen seals for? thank you :)

They are used for BCNMs (Burning Cicle of Natorious Monster).
Keep them.

They're used for Burning Circle Notorious Monster (BCNM) fights. You can trade a certain number of the Beastman Seals to an NPC, Shami, in Port Jeuno, in exchange for an Orb. By trading this Orb to a number of Burning Circles set all over Vana'diel, you unleash a predetermined monster or group of monsters into the Burning Circle. By defeating the monster/group, you'll be rewarded with prizes.
Notable and popular ones include "Steaming Sprouts", "The Worm's Turn" and "Royal Jelly". It's the primary source of Phalanx, Erase and Utsusemi:Ni scrolls, good income over the AH, so save them up and don't toss them like I did (before I knew what they were for, of course ^^;)!
