Quest: Behind the Smile

I have the mannequin quest done and am on chaper 8 of COP. New quest begins as follows: Talk to Enaremand at K 7 on the top floor of the safehold -- next to the guy who rather obscurely tells you your Fomor hate. Cutscene; talks about mannequins and mentions needing Red Oil and a mannequin maker in Mhura. My friend and I will be off there shortly to have a look about.

At FYI Chalmworth -- the mannequin Mithra in the goldsmith guild in Mhura -- we were told that she didn't have red oil, had been using slime oil instead. She suggested that like the mannequin parts which had been stolen by orcs, we might find that the beastmen had stolen some oil. Returning to the quest starter in the safehold yields no new information at this point.

I'm assuming the red oil is used to allow you to put the mannequin in different poses?

Hey Liesse, I thought a bit about this quest. When you think about Orcs, Davoi comes to mind, perhaps if you trade Slime Oil to one of the pools in Davoi it'll turn red... either that or get ready to farm a bunch of orcs >.>

Go to I 10 in Carpenter's Landing (Near South Landing) And tough the ??? to spawn Bullheaded Grosvez the orc. Whack it, touch the ??? again to get the red oil. Back to Safehold talk to elvann manequin guy again, reward is mannequin's pumps.

Thanks for the info, it has been very helpful. The details here have been written up in the Behind the Smile quest walkthrough. If there is any further info missing, post it here and it will be added to the walkthrough. The description of the Red Oil key item would be helpful, to complete the info for that quest.

Red Oil description: This rare variety of oil was once widely used to lubricate intricate machinery such as mannequins. However, due to the oil's grotesque appearance, production ceased many years ago.

This NM is EXTREMELY WEAK, as a level 75 RDM I simply Chainspelled Thunder IIIed him and he dropped in less then 20 seconds, he must have less then 5000 hp and is weak to magic, (my spells were doing 600+ on him when 500 is normal for most), I'd say solo able around 60 for RDM or BLM, probably less for SMN to, only thing which could be annoying is the multiple shoulder attacks. (Mysterytour posted it but I never seen him do it). The Hundred Fists kicked in for me around 50% health but his hundred fists attack are easily stopped by phalanx. NM might possibly be around level 50, and that's pushing it.
