Just curious...this may be obvious to some, but not to me...is there any way to tell how long an enhancing spell will last (such as protect, shell, etc.), or is the duration just random? It would be quite helpful to know. Thank you. ^^

30min on shell and protect, refresh and haste is judged by your skill of enhancing magic, bar spells i think are a set time also but there strengh comes for the MND. but shell and protect are a set time of exactly 30min

Spell durations are also effected by the receiver's level. High level protect/shell's won't last long at all on low levels. Haste, sneak/invis and such will wear off extremely quick as well. On a level 1 they'll begin wear off *immediately*.

Refresh has nothing to do with your enhancing skill. Enhancing skills primary purpose is for the bar--- spells, Haste and sneak/invis maybe a few others that I never use. I am a 75 RDM and can tell you Refresh at 41 is 120 MP refresh at 75 capped enhancing is still 120 mp.

I just have one question. I'm a level 33 RDM with a 83 Enhancing Skill. I run thought Qufim alot to get to Jeuno Via Regional Teleporting and I use all the Null-detects (Sneak, Deoderize, Invisible). About 95% of the time, my Sneak will wear off LONG before the others do. At first I though it was the snow and that, but I tried it elsewhere (grasslands, desert, rocky areas) and it STILL wore off faster. Anyone know what the deal is behind that? Thanks in advance.

Refresh does have the same effect on lower levels however. If you cast Refresh on newbie job IT DOES NOT give you the the same results. The 3MP/tic holds but it lasts more like 15-30 seconds. I would assume this effects is negated in the 30s somewhere tho (or maybe there is a max MP cap formula for refresh?). I learned this while helping people get khazam keys as I was farming in Giddeus.

As a RDM I've found that Shell and Protect do not have the same duration as when I feel I need Shell I will cast it immediately after Protect, yet I usually get considerably longer duration out of it.
