Hidden Effect: Lizard Killer?

A 75DRK/37NIN was in a party with me the other day while camping Adamantoise. He was tanking Velociraptors, and somehow intimidating them-- the thing is, none of his gear said anything about "Lizard Killer" trait, so I'm very confused at the moment. Naturally, he would have "Arcana Killer," but that wouldn't do anything to lizards.
The only thing I can think of is that some piece of his gear gave it as a hidden effect. I would greatly appreciate any information to support or disprove this.
His equipment was as folows:
- Company Sword
- Ifrit's Blade
- Fenrir's Stone
- Emperor Hairpin / Adaman Celata
- Royal Guard's Collar
- Dodge Earring x 2 / Fenrir's Earring / Assault Earring
- Hauberk / Cardinal Vest
- Thick Mufflers
- Ruby Ring
- Sniper's Ring
- Forager's Mantle
- Warwolf Belt / Sarashi
- Thick Breeches
- Thick Sollerets

The equipment with the " / " next to the names means that it was exchanged during the fighting. So, my hypothesis is that one of those items has "Hidden effect: Lizard Killer." Again, any confirmation would be greatly appreciated! ^^

Interesting stuff. Looking over the basic Lizard Killer effect items, it looks restricted to food. So the first question that comes to mind is, what was he eating? If he was munching on Bison Steak, which is a standard end game attack food, that would do it.

Hmm, I had completely forgotten about food! Well, he's the kinda guy who does stuff just to show off, so that's very possible. Thanks a lot for suggesting that; it makes perfect sense now (I'm not just going crazy).

Haha~ yeap, I came from doing something where I'd eaten a Marbled Steak. funny stuff, never even crossed my mind that that could be what did it
