Kay, sorry if the title doesn't make too much of sense, but the question is :

How does Square Enix charge users?

I'm talking about how long the playing period lasts.
If I start on the, lets's just say, for the sake of arguenment, June 29th, or 30th, will Square charge you a full monthly payment? So, is the 1st of July a new, fresh month of 12 bucks?

for those not reading inclined, here's a diagram:

start on this day, on 30, charge as a month
1st: second month

pls help me out here...
i don't want to pay for a full month in 2 days.
and i'm sure other people are curious about this too

if its your 1st month after your free starting month, they WILL prorate the 12.95 against the time (i.e. you pay an adjusted partial month)

after that, you get charged the full 12.95 + (1.00 X mules) even if you play 1 day of that month.

Actually, if you just buy the game, and that is the first time you have every played with the ID, they will charge you a partial fee. You will get one month free, then you will recieve a 12.95 charge + partial charge for the next month. This is what they did to me when I started playing a little over three years ago. It showed up as 3.45 on the bill in addition to 12.95.

Given your example, You would only pay about a 1.50 for those last few days of the month when your free period kicked off.

Jun29-july29 = Free month period. No charge

July 29-Aug 1 = 3 day charge out of the month ( no more than $1.29 or so.)

Aug1-Aug30= First, fresh, full month of service. ( $12.95)

You are billed at the beginning of each month, for that months pay therafter. If you ever cancel the game, and stop playing on say September 10th, then you have already payed for septembers month of service in full, so your cancellation will actually take affect when they go to bill you in october, in wich case they wouldnt, being you cancelled your service. hope that helps
