"The gorget items are similarly based on elements, and provide bonuses only to the weaponskills that are based on the element of the gorget."

Is the damage bonus applied to the actual weapon skill itself (ie: Shark Bite), or the skillchain damage (ie: Light) ??
I read somewhere that these enhance the SC damage, as opposed to the WS damage, seeing as how like 75% of weapon skills color thingy are based on light.

That's an excellent question, and one I don't have the answer to, since I've never gotten those items. Maybe someone who has completed the quest for the gorgets has a better idea about that.

It would seem odd if the damage boost from the gorgets is based on the Skillchain and not the WS; as you say, almost all end game renkeis are Light. At the most, you'd just need the Dark and Light gorgets at that level, if they were set up like that. OTOH, there are a lot of items in the game that don't have very much use, so it's certainly possible.

You didnt really understand, heh.

If you equip a staff (assuming you have like 10 staff skill), the icon next to Heavy Swing is white. That is what I was refering to, and usually unless the WS isnt elemental or have some add effect (poison, stun), the icon is always white.
