When I talk to the moogle he says that the people you talk to appreciate a "Diverse Party" and to group when you talk to them. What exactly does this mean. Does it improve the item you get?

I'm assuming by Diverse party they mean something like

Mithra from Bastok
Tarutaru male from Windy
Galka from Bastok
Elvaan Male from Sandy
Hume Female from Sandy
Tarutaru Female from Bastok

something to the extent of diversifying gender/race, and nationality. Anyways thats my take.

Can anyone confirm a better drop if you talk to the NPC's in a party like this?

I'm guessing that's what they mean, but so far the results have been weird.

I did this as a full party with my linkshell. One San d'Orian, five Bastokans. Ran around, talked to everyone.

We got back to the moogle. A Random person got the HQ Ring, a random person got the regular ring, then four people got two chocobo tickets each. And the people who got the rings weren't in any way special in regards to their stats, seems to me like the rewards are completely random.

my linkshell did this for fun and we also walked the whole way as some were lvl 10 with no tele crystals or choco, was fun to auto follow across vanad'iel with high level guardians ;o) some of us got the HQ homing ring even with low level low exp players, so i think the reward is completely random
